The International Propeller Club,
Port of Mobile

Chartered in 1929, the Propeller Club of Mobile is one of the longest running clubs in the nation. Averaging 250 to 300 members, our chapter enthusiastically advocates for the maritime industry in the Port of Mobile.

Objectives of our club

  • To promote and support the Marine industry, waterborne commerce and all segments thereof.
  • To maintain a continuing program of public relations, education and goodwill with the shipping community and public in general.
  • To collaborate with other organizations whose members are dedicated to the promotion of the best interest of American maritime shipping and allied industries.
  • To promote a spirit of friendship and common purpose among persons engaged in the merchant marine and allied industries.

Southeast Region

Our club is one of 14 clubs within the Southeast Region of Propeller Clubs. The Southeast Region includes coastal ports from North Carolina south and west through Mississippi.

The International Propeller Club of the United States

The Propeller Club of Mobile is also part of a much larger association of port clubs that comprise the International Propeller Club of the United States, an international business network dedicated to the promotion of commerce, global trade and the maritime industry. Propeller Club programs educate the public and elected officials about the importance and necessity of waterborne commerce. Discover the International Club.
